Veteran Software Executive Kevin Moultrup Joins Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Startup to Build Industry Partnerships and Sales Team

Fremont, CA (October 17, 2012) – Heirloom Computing Inc. today announced the appointment of Kevin Moultrup as Chief Operating Officer. Moultrup, a 25-year software industry veteran and former senior executive of industry leader Micro Focus, is focused on strengthening the company’s sales and marketing functions and building industry partnerships.

Heirloom Computing makes it possible for companies to efficiently modernize their business-critical enterprise software applications. Heirloom’s ELPaaS (Enterprise Legacy Platform-as-a-Service) software application development and deployment platform seamlessly migrates legacy systems to private and public cloud computing infrastructures.

“We’re glad to welcome Kevin onboard,” said Heirloom CEO Gary Crook. “With the opportunities we have developed this year, this is an ideal time to bring in Kevin to drive our sales and marketing to the next level. Heirloom has already started to benefit from Kevin’s software industry experience and wealth of strategic relationships.”

“Heirloom is a great company with great technology, but it may be the best kept secret in Silicon Valley,” said Moultrup. “I’m looking forward to helping Heirloom reach many more potential customers for its industry-leading ELPaaS technology and to strengthen our partnerships throughout the industry, especially with system integrators (SIs) and application providers.”

Moultrup held a series of senior management positions at Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO.L), most recently serving as EVP of worldwide channel sales. During his tenure at Micro Focus, Moultrup was instrumental in the company’s acquisitions and initial public offering, and was actively involved in building global sales, including channels and industry partnerships. “It was a great business model, and we’re looking to replicate that growth here at Heirloom,” Moultrup added. Prior to Micro Focus, Moultrup spent six years at Sun Microsystems, focusing on OEM sales and marketing.
